The La Palma Citizen’s Academy is a free, five-week course introducing residents to the inner workings of their city. Each workshop focuses on specific aspects of local government functions, including administration, finance, public safety, community development, community services, and public works. Additionally, the Citizen’s Academy introduces participants to volunteer opportunities to become involved by serving on a City committee or even City Council. Applicants must be a La Palma resident to apply. For more information, please contact Joseph Cisneros, Assistant to the City Manager, at jcisneros@cityoflapalma.org.
