Our home, which was built in 1973, has been occupied by three generations of our family; the latest of which being my husband (JJ) our two elementary school aged children, and myself, since 2002. Over the years, we have taken great pride in maintaining our home with solar power upgrades, the addition of energy efficient appliances, and water conserving landscapes. The outdoor design theme of our house has been a “Desert Palms Oasis” with the added touch of an Alaskan Totem Pole. Spring 2021 Home Spotlight Award

The City of La Palma would like to congratulate Christelle Watkins of 5552 Conifer Drive for winning the 2021 Spring Home Spotlight Award!

7_HomeSpotlighChristelle Watkins has lived in La Palma for 23 years. She selected to live in La Palma because it is a nice and quiet community. Recently, she worked with a landscape designer to transform her front and back yard. She wanted a contemporary design that requires little maintenance. They demolished everything, in order to start from scratch and increase the overall curb appeal. The design featured installing artificial turf, a variety of succulent plants, and accent walls for more depth, lighting and modern entry and garage doors, with a more modern color palette.

Christelle was very surprised and overjoyed to hear her home was recognized as the Spring Home Spotlight Award. Thank you. We have to find joy in anything we can, so I am very excited.—Christelle Watkins
