InspoTeen is a FREE on campus after-school program for Walker Junior High and Kennedy High School students. The InspoTeen program is held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school. Teens can play games, hangout with friends, watch movies, make crafts, and of course, eat.

The City of La Palma in partnership with the City of Cypress offers teen dances throughout the school year. These dances are limited to students in the seventh or eighth grade only. Please read the NEW Ticket Procedures required before a teen can purchase a ticket:
Tickets are $10 will be available to purchase starting the Monday before the dance.
The City accepts 20 teen volunteers (13-17 years of age) that are residents of La Palma (proof of residency is required) to assist our trained Day Camp Counselors each summer at Club La Palma Day Camp and Camp Tiny Tot. Teens must submit an application online and attend an interview. If chosen to participate they must attend weekly meetings and training, in addition to working 200 hours over the course of the 10 week program. At the completion of the program each Volunteen will receive a $200 stipend, Letter of Recommendation, and be recognized at a City Council meeting. Volunteen Applications will be available online beginning February 24 and must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. on March 30.
The City appointed Youth Action Committee (YAC) works in conjunction with the City of La Palma and outside groups for the benefit of the community and its youth. We are looking for high school students who will help promote programs and inform the public about teen opportunities for Cities.
To apply, students must complete a Youth Action Committee Application and return it to the Cypress Community Center Office (5700 Orange Avenue) by 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2020.
In order to be considered for the Youth Action Committee you must meet the following requirements:
All applicants will be interviewed and thirty (30) students will be selected to the 2020-2021 Youth Action Committee Program. Interviews will be held on August 11th and 12th. All interviews will be set-up at the time of application submission.
