The City accepts 20 teen volunteers (13-17 years of age) that are residents of La Palma (proof of residency is required) to assist our trained Day Camp Counselors each summer at Club La Palma Day Camp and Camp Tiny Tot. Teens must submit an application online and attend an interview. If chosen to participate they must attend weekly meetings and training.
Join the Cities of La Palma and Cypress for Resume building, networking and volunteering tips, and how to keep your new job! This event is for teens 13 – 18.
The Cities of La Palma and Cypress are hosting a motivational workshop for teen athletes. Guest speakers from Trinity International University will discuss how the pandemic has affected their college basketball careers and how they have maintained a positive attitude through a tough time. All teens are welcome to attend!
The City appointed Youth Action Committee (YAC) works in conjunction with the City of La Palma and outside groups for the benefit of the community and its youth. We are looking for high school students who will help promote programs and inform the public about teen opportunities for Cities.
